Sam Torrence: Captain of
Golf of Sea & Sun Resorts' three resorts

The Spanish property developer and golf management
company, Sea & Sun Resorts, currently developing
three major new golf resorts in the Murcia
and Almería regions of Spain, has made Sam Torrance
their Captain of Golf. The former victorious Ryder Cup
Captain will help to both establish the course protocol
and to formulate the rules.
Sam, commenting on his role, said “What Sea &
Sun Resorts is doing in Murcia and Almeria is very interesting:
they have land and housing plans in progress that are
really spectacular, and that will make fantastic second
homes for British golfers and holidaymakers in general”.
To this end, Torrance will support the marketing of
Sea & Sun Resorts in the UK, a key market for the
Spanish firm.

After a brief stint in the United States, the former
Ryder Cup Captain has enjoyed being back in Europe for
the second half of this year playing on the European
tour, and also picking up his first victory in the Seniors
Tour in the Travis Perkins Seniors Masters at Wentworth.
Sea & Sun Resorts has at the moment a portfolio
of eight million square metres, distributed between
three resorts: Roda Golf & Beach Resort, Corvera
and Ballabona.
The golf course of this third resort will be designed
by Sam Torrance in conjunction with European Golf Design
(a joint venture company between IMG and European Tour).
